This weekly program is a universal prevention program designed to mitigate the risk factors and enhance the protective factors related to alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use. The program introduces and develops social and emotional skills for making healthy choices, building positive friendships, communicating effectively, and resisting peer pressure. Too Good For Violence (k-8)

This weekly program is a universal prevention program designed to foster social skills linked with healthy development and academic success, such as: conflict resolution, anger management, respect for self and others, effective communication, responsible decision making, goal setting and pro-social peer bonding. Each lesson focuses on promoting character development in these key areas: caring, cooperation, courage, fairness, honesty, respect, responsibility, and self-discipline. Students practice managing bullying situations and choosing peaceful ways to resolve conflict and manage stress and frustration. Evidence-based. Too Good For Drugs and Violence (HS)

This weekly program is utilized one time during the student’s high school career. The curriculum provides teenagers with real world challenges faced in high school by exploring practical guidance for understanding the negative health effects related to prescription drug misuse, underage drinking, marijuana abuse, opioid abuse, and nicotine use. Students learn the stages of addiction and the risks associated with experimentation. This program encourages social awareness and self-awareness when faced with internal pressures to take unhealthy risks to fit in with their peers or escape. Evidence-based. TEEN INTERVENE (ages 12-21)

Teen Intervene is a tested, time-efficient, evidence-based prevention program for teenagers suspected of experiencing mild or moderate problems associated with alcohol or other drug use. This is not a counseling program, but a guided prevention program to help teens get back on track with their life goals. Sessions are voluntary, with parental consent. Session can be completed in 2-3 separate sessions; each session being 40 minutes to 1 hour in length. Sessions can be done via Zoom or a secured school location. Safety and confidentiality upheld. PreVenture (Ages 12-17)

PreVenture introduces cognitive behavioral strategies and coping skills to youth based on their individual personality stye. This mental health and early intervention program is for youth ages 12-17. For more information, please click here or call our office at (607) 746-8300


Tailor Made Presentations (students)

ADAC will create workshops for students, based on the schools/organization’s needs. Topics covered in the past are: Alcohol 101, Bullying, Leadership, and Effective Communication.

Hiding the High

This is an interactive experience FOR ADULTS ONLY (no one under 21 permitted) designed to:

- Help parents and caregivers recognize signs and symptoms of teenage drug use (REVEAL)

- Approach someone you care about who is suspected of abusing drugs (RESPOND)

- Teach strategies that restore trust (RESTORE)

Youth Mental Health First Aid Training (adults)

Youth Mental Health First Aid USA is a public education program which introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents, builds understanding of the importance of early intervention, and teaches individuals how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge. Participants will learn how to assess a mental health crisis, provide initial help, and connect young people to professional, peer, social, and self-help care.  Applicants must commit to the complete 6-8 hours of training to earn certification.  For more information, please click on this link or call our office at (607) 746-8300


Professional Development

Presentations are between 30 and 45 minutes in length, and include topics such as: Trauma Informed Care, How to Build Resilience in Self and Others, How to Self Care during Zoom meetings, etc.
